PACKAGING PROGRAM PROMOTING THE TRUCK STOP CONCERT SERIES

SELLING OUT SHOWS WITH THE MOST EXPENSIVE BEER EVER.

When Red Truck brewery opened for business in 2005 it delivered beer to customers in a 1946 Dodge pickup. But it was more than a delivery truck. It was a throwback to simpler times. Times when you knew people at the local grocery store by name. Times when nothing mattered more than community. And while that old beater has long since been retired, this idea of community is still at the heart of everything Red Truck does. So when they made the move into a state-

of-the-art facility in Vancouver’s historic Brewery Creek district they launched the Truck Stop Concert Series – three nights of concerts at the brewery during the summer where people could gather and enjoy simple things like beer, music and each other’s company. But there was a small problem: summertime in Vancouver is chalk full of festivals and events, each fighting for the public’s attention. Luckily, we had one thing to our advantage: beer.

idea: the $100 six pack

We came up with the $100 Six Pack. But the price wasn’t the only thing that was different -- each one came with a set of tickets to the Truck Stop Concert Series.

the artist - tom froese

We worked with an artist to create custom lettering for all of the campaign pieces - just like the good ol’ days.

the venue - the truck stop

Campaign pieces ranged from posters to packaging design, to a slew of promotional materials at the “Truck Stop”, Red Truck’s tasting room located at the brewery.

the concert series

“On top of selling out our concert series, the campaign was a great reminded that Red Truck is a down-to-earth brewery that’s all about good times.”
